I have spent much time in many a third world country. This is on the edge of that definition. There are a lot of interesting things I have noticed. Here are a couple.
Other countries like South Africa, where there is little or no public transportation, there are lots of bicycles and motorbikes. Here there are none.
In other countries there a many internet cafes and internet phone shops. Here there are none. In fact internet, out of the big city, seems to be scarce and slow. The video that will be posted here soon, that are less than 2 minutes, are taking about 1 hour to load. Needless to say, there will be no more video's.
We are aware of the problems in Egypt and closely monitoring the situation. Vicki will be on a boat for the whole time and we will only be in Cairo for one day.
